Welcome to TheVocalAgenda.org
The Vocal Agenda are one of over 800 chapters of the Barbershop Harmony Society which boasts a total of over 28,000 singing members. It is the largest all-male singing society in the world. Our purpose is to "perpetuate the American institution of barbershop music, and promote and encourage vocal harmony and good fellowship among its members and the public." The Society originated in 1939 in Kansas City, Missouri and thrives today as a vibrant example of our original acronym: Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America - SPEBSQSA. The Vocal Agenda chorus is a member of the District known as Seneca Land that extends from as far east in New York state as Canton and Oneonta and as far south as New Bethlehem in northwestern Pennsylvania. Although not a large chorus, TVA has raised the bar in Seneca Land to unprecedented heights and has won the right to go to our annual International Competition the last four years in a row. If you sing and enjoy singing the highest quality in musical entertainment, c’mon down and sing with us. We’d love to have you. |
